Our School

Las Yescas Elementary School is located on FM 803 near Rio Hondo and is about 12 miles northeast of the City of Los Fresnos.

Las Yescas Elementary was built in 1955. Additions were completed in 1977, 1985 and 2000. LYE used to be identified as Cameron County Elementary School No. 10 before it was consolidated with Los Fresnos CISD on Sept. 1, 1972.

LYE houses about 370 students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 5 and is a feeder to Liberty Memorial Middle School. The school mascot is Longhorns and the principal is Lynn Martinez.
